The Lymington Society 
Sirs, I have just recently learnt of proposals by Hampshire District Council to put parking meters on Lymington High Street. The though horrifies me as I have seen the results of such actions in other towns and villages in other parts of the country. Since moving back to Hampshire to live in Lymington 4 years ago I have seen more shop closers than openings and fear for the survival of the remaining shops.
Can you let me know if the Lymington Society has a view on these proposals which I am sure does not stop at just parking meters in the High St., and whether there are any plans in place to garner public opinion before it is too late.
